We would like to inform you that in alignment with the latest guidance from the Greek Government and the World Health Organization, the mandatory Covid-19 measures have been lifted.
Effective immediately, the mandatory use of masks in all interior and exterior areas is no longer in force. This includes all hotel spaces where, previously, masks were deemed obligatory. Furthermore, the requirement for protective masks in public transportation, such as buses, has also been lifted.
While these mandatory measures are no longer applicable, we remain steadfast in our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests and staff. As we move forward, we encourage everyone to exercise personal responsibility by adhering to social distancing rules and maintaining high standards of personal hygiene in public areas.
Your safety has always been our top priority, and we will continue to implement measures to create a secure and enjoyable environment for all. Pepper Sea Club Hotel in order to help its guests for health and safety protocols, cooperates with a medical laboratory that can provide covid testing on spot (PCR or rapid).
In case you wish to get a PCR or a rapid test, you may contact the reception desk upon your arrival for further information and assistance.
The cost for the PCR test in the hotel is 60€ per person and the cost for rapid test is 20€ per person.

As we welcome you back to Pepper Sea Club, we are committed to providing you with a safe environment that aligns with expert protocols for working to defeat COVID-19.
Our cleaning program will include:
Hotel staff
All our staff members are aware and trained through seminars of how the Covid-19 virus is transmitted and able to provide information to our guests.
All our staff members will perform a rapid test according to the latest guidelines of the Ministry of Health.
Cleaning, disinfection, housekeeping (rooms and public areas)
We will reinforce our sanitation services using disinfectant liquid in all public areas.
We will pay special attention to cleaning “high-frequency touch points” such as door handles and elevator knobs.
Meticulous cleaning and very good room ventilation will take place between stays of our guests.
The doors and windows of all rooms will be opened daily for natural ventilation.
Individual antiseptic gels will be placed in each room.
The use of disposable gloves is no longer mandatory for the guests through their meals at the Restaurants.
Spa services & Gym
Social distancing rules apply (2-meter distance between staff members). Guests are allowed access only by appointment.
Swimming pools and other recreational water facilities
Only outdoor swimming pools in hotels are allowed to operate, according to the current legal framework (number of bathers: the crowding density in hotel pools is calculated with an index of 2,5 square meters of water surface per person).
Physical distancing:
– The layout of seats on swimming pool decks (sunbeds, chairs, sun loungers, etc.) will be such so that the distance between the ends of the seats of two people under two different umbrellas be at least 1,5 meters in each direction.
– All seats, tables, price lists and any other items will be disinfected after a guest leaves and before used by another guest.
Cleaning and Disinfecting a Patient's Room
All surfaces that have come into contact with a patient are thoroughly cleaned.
Housekeeping staff are required to use a simple surgical mask and gloves.
In case of a positive COVID-19 the room will disinfected and all fabrics will be cleaned with a steam device (temperature> 70°C), before sent to be washed.

The Greek Government announced that international tourism can gradually start from May 14th and from this date international flights will be landing both Heraklion (HER) airport and Chania (CHQ) airport. As a result of the above we are planning to open our hotel on May 15th onwards for season 2021.

Action Plan in case of Covid-19 incident.
If a visitor experiences symptoms consistent with COVID-19 infection, the following will be applied:
The doctor with whom the Hotel cooperates will be called to assess the incident.
If the patient is in urgent need of hospitalization and presents a serious clinical picture, is taken to the relevant health unit as a suspected CASE OF COVID-19. In case there is no possibility of covid-19 incident management from the health infrastructure of the area, we will arrange for transport of the patient (ECAB, water ambulance, air transport) to the nearest health unit where he can manage it.
If the patient displays a mild clinical picture, a sample is taken by the physician for laboratory COVID confirmation.
The patient with a mild clinical picture remains in his room until the results of the laboratory test are communicated.
During this wait, staff are avoided entering the patient's room if there is no significant reason. If a need occurs, a staff member of the accommodation is advised to deal exclusively with the possible case.
If the guest is confirmed as a COVID case, he will be transferred to the special quarantine hotel and later to a health facility that will accommodate patients with COVID-19 if they need hospitalization.
If the guest is not confirmed as a CASE of COVID-19, he will be treated on site with the instructions of the attending physician.
The patient will be transported by MA (simple surgical mask) and private means of transport.

Beginning July 1, 2020, the Greek government has issued a new process concerning how the country will welcome travellers, carry out the necessary diagnostic screening and keep everyone safe throughout the season.
The Passenger Locator Form (PLF) is a key element of the process. All travellers are obliged to complete their PLF at least 48 hours before entering the country, providing detailed information on their point of departure, the duration of previous stays in other countries, and the address of your stay while in Greece.

As we welcome you back to Pepper Sea Club Hotel, we are committed to providing you with a safe environment that aligns with expert protocols for working to defeat COVID-19. Consisting of in-house and outside experts in food and water safety, hygiene and infection prevention, and hotel operations, our company is redefining our cleaning and safety standards. We will actively monitor and evolve our solutions to ensure a continued focus on the health and safety of our guests and associates.
In addition, we hope to be able to set a reopening date for our hotel soon. We are in close contact with different authorities, airlines and tour operators and are awaiting their communication of the resumption of activity – on which our reopening depends.
The Greek Government announced that international tourism can gradually starts from June 15th and from July 1st the airports on our island will be opened to accept international flights. As a result of the above we are planning to open our hotel on July 1st onwards for season 2020.

As the world is facing a profound crisis due to coronavirus, our everyday life and plans have shifted significantly. In Greece according to official announcements, the virus spread was contained significantly, due to the fast-implemented precautionary measures. In this regard, Greek Authorities have decided to suspend the operation of all summer resorts until 30th of June.
Below is an update of our actions to fight with the uncertainty of the current situation. In case of an update on the current regulation, our actions and policies will be changed accordingly.

We want to inform you that the Greek Government in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 has taken strict measures which concern the tourism industry. According to the ministerial announcement, all seasonal hotel openings will be postponed to May 1st. We will keep you informed about any further news.
